As a music fan living in 2020, you have probably asked at least one of the two following questions: “Why is K-pop so addictive?” or, “Why is K-pop so popular?”

Whether you like it or not, K-pop, short for Korean popular music, is rapidly gaining popularity in the U.S. and countries all around the globe. With the rise of superstar groups like BTS and BLACKPINK, K-pop is also becoming one of the top genres on music streaming services.
